Primotalii
C. chinenseWARNING! WARNING WARNING! EXTREMELY HOT!
6,90 €
This chili pepper, known as the Primotalii, stands out as one of the most scorching varieties ever cultivated. It is the result of a unique crossbreeding experiment carried out by Chris Saunders in 2012, combining the fiery 7 Pot Primo and the potent Fatalii pepper. While its official Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating remains somewhat uncertain, the Primotalii is undeniably a scorcher, delivering a heat level that rivals the Carolina Reapers and Scorpions.
These peppers undergo a striking transformation as they mature, transitioning from vibrant green to a fiery red hue. They also sport elongated, slender tails, reminiscent of the Carolina Reaper.
The heat levels associated with the Primotalii are reported to be as high as 2,200,000 SHUs, potentially making it a contender for the title of the world's hottest pepper. Beyond the intense heat, they offer a complex flavor profile with fruity, citrusy, and sweet notes, accented by floral undertones. Some even detect subtle earthy undertones, but taste can be subjective, so it's best to try them and share your own impressions! These peppers are ideal for crafting hot sauces or serving as a marinade for various meats. However, exercise caution when using them, as even a small amount can add a fiery kick to your dishes!
