The plants are robust and adapt well to a variety of growing conditions, making them suitable for both garden beds (in warm climates) and containers. Due to the compact plant size and small pods, they are also an excellent choice to grow as beautiful bonsai chilis. Their compact size yields an abundant harvest, ensuring a steady supply throughout the season. Typically reaching maturity around 80-90 days, Pimenta Cheiro do Pará peppers are not only a culinary delight but also a visually appealing addition to your garden, with their sun-kissed yellow pods dangling like little lanterns amid the green foliage. Ideal for salsas, marinades, or as a pickled treat, this chili brings the essence of Brazilian flavor to your table.

The taste is absolutely great! It has some sourness overpowered with a lot of sweetness and and a bit of acidity, the balance in the taste is outstanding and it's commonly eaten as it is, in smoothies, fruit salads or normal salads, an ingredient in fruity sauces or as dried fruits.
Also known as goldenberry, ground cherry and inca berry. It also has several local names where it's originated like uvilla, uchuva and aguaymanto.
