Description

Pimenta de Cheiro do Pará is a Brazilian chili whose name means the scented pepper of Pará, and the aroma is exactly what it is known for. The small, bright yellow pods hang like little lanterns among the green foliage.

The heat is manageable and never hides the flavour, which is fruity and exotic. Use it in salsas and marinades, or pickle it the Brazilian way.

The plants are robust, adapt well to different conditions and stay compact, so they are excellent in containers and also make beautiful bonsai chilies. Despite the small size, they give an abundant harvest.
