Habanero Mustard is a Capsicum chinense habanero with an unusual color. Its wrinkled, lantern-shaped pods ripen from green to a distinctive mustard tone, somewhere between olive and yellow, and carry typical habanero heat with a complex, fruity flavor and a hint of sweetness. In this Vault release, that character meets real wood smoke.

The pods are prepared by hand and slowly smoked for over 24 hours using traditional Nordic smoking woods. No smoke liquids, sprays, or artificial flavorings are used at any stage — only time, wood, and careful control. After smoking, the chilies are dried using a process refined through decades of experience, locking fruit, heat, and smoke into a stable, expressive flake.

The first impression is warm, rounded smoke. Then the habanero fruit rises through it, with a touch of sweetness underneath, before the heat arrives with a real punch. The smoke does not hide the fruit. It gives it depth and weight.
