Description

Purple Flowered Chacoense is a rare wild chili, known for its tiny lilac-purple flowers, an unusual sight among wild chilies, which usually bloom white.

The pods are small, upright and ripen to red, carrying a moderate heat with a wild, flavourful character. They can be used fresh or dried, though many grow this plant for its looks as much as for the harvest.

The plants are easy to grow once they are going, but the seeds can be slow to germinate, so give them time. With only a few seeds available, it is a rare, exotic addition to any chili collection.
