Description

Aji Monagre comes from Ecuador. Its pods are large, sweet and very tasty, ripening from green to a deep red.

The heat is just below medium, a gentle warmth that lifts dishes without overpowering them, and behind it there are clear fruity undertones. The size and sweetness make it an excellent pepper for stuffing, and it is just as good grilled or sliced into salsas and salads.

The plant stays compact, so it suits container growing well and still gives a good harvest.
