Description

Originating from Korea, the Wae Mae Wo pepper belongs to the Capsicum annuum species. It’s a plant that stretches upwards with grace, usually over a meter in height even when confined to a pot. It shows a surprising preference for cooler, shaded spots, flourishing even in the chill of winter when it continues to bloom. In a container, it’s a generous producer, but it truly thrives when given room to spread its roots in the earth or to a larger pot, becoming more expansive and fruitful.

The peppers themselves transition from green to red as they mature, averaging around 6 to 7 centimeters in length, with a slender width of about 1 centimeter.
