Mattapeno

Description

The Mattapeno created by Matt O.  is a visual delight, perfect for both ornamental and culinary purposes. Its immature pods start off as creamy white with striking green stripes, creating a stunning contrast against the plant’s variegated foliage, which can be partly white. As the pods mature, they transition from white and green, sometimes thru peach color,  finally to deep red, offering a colorful show throughout the season.

The foliage is just as remarkable, with white-splashed leaves that make the plant a standout even without fruit. With a mild heat and a hint of sweetness, Mattapeno is perfect for salsas, fresh snacking, and pickling.

This compact, easy-to-grow plant is highly prolific, making it an excellent choice for both garden beds and containers. Whether for its unique look or mild flavor, Mattapeno is sure to impress!
