Stalagtite White

Description

A compact white-podded chinense that behaves like a much bigger plant. It sets hundreds of small pods in a season, ripening green through pale yellow to a creamy yellow-white, all over a bush small enough for a modest pot.

The aroma is the reason to grow it — a full, sweet, fruity chinense perfume that carries straight through into the finished product. It grinds into a pale golden powder and beautiful flakes, and because there are so many pods, one plant will keep a spice jar filled for a long time.

The heat is substantial without being a superhot ordeal. Compact, undemanding, extremely productive, and good-looking enough to earn a place on a windowsill or as a bonchi subject.
