Description

Mr. Hankey, also known by its genebank number CGN 23209, has been part of our collection for years. Around here we have always called it Mr. Hankey, for perhaps obvious reasons.

Behind the funny name hides a surprisingly tasty and productive chili. The pods are long, slightly wrinkled and ripen to a dark chocolate brown with a beautiful earthy tone. The aroma is pleasantly fruity, the flavour full and delicious, and the heat stays comfortably on the mild to medium side, which makes it a great everyday cooking chili.

Perfect for sauces and powders, or fresh. It adds both flavour and personality to your chili garden, and it never fails to make people smile when they hear the name. A real fun one to grow!
