Cajamarca

Description

Cajamarca is a compact plant with pods in a whole range of colours, from green, creamy white and yellow to purple, orange and red. The small size makes it particularly well suited for growing indoors and as a bonsai or bonchi.

The flavour is different from what you would expect of its group: mild, fresh and fruity, a little like some aji varieties such as Aji Norteno, with just a touch of heat, around 3 or lower on a 0–10 scale.

It is very easy to grow, though the branches can be a little fragile, so some support is a good idea. A rare variety with limited seeds available. Open pollinated.
