Borg9 Yellow

Description

The yellow selection out of Borg 9, bred in the UK by Jon Harper from a cross of 7 Pot Bubblegum and Naglah. The pods are bumpy and irregular, ripening green to a vivid yellow, and they carry the fruity, distinctly citrus character the Bubblegum parent brings to the family.

Behind that is superhot heat — estimates run past a million Scoville, though no official testing has ever been done on this line and we will not pretend otherwise.

The Borg 9 line is still around its fifth generation and not completely stable, so expect some variation between plants. Vigorous growers of about a metre that crop heavily, especially under glass. Superb in yellow hot sauces, salsas and marinades, where the colour is half the appeal.
