Description

The NuMex Easter chili pepper is a stunning ornamental variety known for its pastel-colored pods that resemble a palette of Easter eggs. Developed by the Chile Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University, this pepper matures into a compact plant, making it perfect for container gardening or decorative borders. Its small, upright fruits transition through shades of lavender, yellow, and orange, eventually turning red. While it’s mainly prized for its ornamental beauty, the peppers are edible, though their flavor is not particularly celebrated.
