Description

Flor Morado Stripey F4 is a new variety from a cross of Sugar Rush Stripey and Aji Flor Morado, and it takes something good from both sides. From the Stripey it gets the colour: peach and red striped pods. From Flor Morado it gets the flowers, pale centres with deep purple accents, which make the plant an ornamental already before the first pod sets.

The flavour is a touch sweeter than Sugar Rush Stripey, with a distinct peppery note, and the heat is a step higher than its striped parent. A great choice for fresh use, sauces and colourful powders.

The plant is highly prolific and easy to grow. It can grow tall but is easy to keep compact, so it suits a large greenhouse as well as a container on the balcony.

Challenge: 1 (very easy to grow).
