Description

Rocoto Orange (CAP 867) is a rocoto that ripens to a bright orange. The pods are round with thick, juicy flesh and a great taste that really stands out.

The heat is lively but not extreme, so it suits anyone who likes some spice without going all the way. The thick walls make the pods excellent for stuffing and grilling, and they are just as good chopped into salsa.

Like other rocotos, the plant handles cool conditions well and can give a surprising number of pods from just a few plants. It does need a longer season, so start it early.
