Rocoto, Sukanya White Flower

Description

Rocoto Sukanya White Flower is a rocoto with a difference: where rocotos usually bloom in purple, this one has pure white flowers. Like other rocotos it has hairy leaves and black seeds, and it is at home in cooler conditions than most chilies.

The pods are round and apple-like, ripening from green to yellow-orange, with thick, juicy and meaty flesh. The heat is quite hot, and the fresh, bold flavour makes it ideal for sauces, salsas and other dishes that need a robust spicy element.

It needs a longer season than most varieties, so start early and give it time. A rare and rewarding choice for anyone who wants something both exotic and useful. Open pollinated.
