Purple Pumpkin

Description

Purple Pumpkin is a feast for the eyes from start to finish. The pods are small and pumpkin-shaped, and the colour show begins right away: deep purple pods slowly shifting through orange and pastel tones to red, often on the same plant at the same time. Even the flowers are beautiful, white with purple edges.

The pods are crisp with a little touch of sweetness, and the heat is a pleasant medium that suits all kinds of cooking. Slice them fresh into salads, or use them in salsas and sauces.

The plant does well even in a small pot, but give it a bigger one and it will thank you with an amazing number of pods. A must-have even if you are not into chilies at all, simply for the fun of growing it as an eye-catcher in the garden, greenhouse or home.
