Lemon Starrburst

Description

A shining creation from Texas pepper breeder Khang Starr, Lemon Starrburst was crossed from Bahamian Goat × MOA Scotch Bonnet. Since 2023, the seeds have been fully released to the public, making it available for chili growers and seed sellers worldwide.

The pods ripen to a striking lemon-yellow and take on a beautiful bonnet-style shape, often with a sharp little stinger at the base. The flavor is absolutely spectacular: a clean burst of citrus and lemony brightness with just the right touch of sweetness and subtle floral notes. It’s one of those rare peppers where the taste is as exciting as the heat.

The burn sits in the habanero and Scotch Bonnet range—plenty of fire, but never overwhelming. Plants are vigorous and high-yielding, producing loads of pods throughout the season. Perfect for sauces, salsas, and fresh use wherever you want color, aroma, and flavor to truly shine.
