This selection represents one of the darker expressions of the Fatalii Chili Vault.

Purple Death is a striking Capsicum chinense variety known for its deep purple coloration and uncompromising heat. It is not a novelty color chili — the pigmentation runs hand in hand with a dense, aggressive character that carries through from aroma to burn.

Dried at full maturity, Purple Death delivers a hard-hitting, immediate heat followed by a thick, lingering intensity that fills the mouth rather than spiking and disappearing. Beneath the heat lies a dark, slightly earthy and berry-like undertone — subtle, but unmistakable once you know what to look for. This is a chili that does not shout sweetness or brightness; it stays low, heavy, and serious.

Every pod selected for this Vault release was grown and processed in Finland in very small batches. The chilies were hand-harvested, carefully dried, and prepared without shortcuts to preserve both the brutal heat and the deep aromatic oils locked inside the flesh. As with all Vault items, this batch was produced once, without guarantees of return.

Purple Death is not designed for casual sprinkling. A small amount goes a very long way, making it ideal for chili oils, sauces, and dishes where controlled intensity matters more than raw volume. For experienced chili enthusiasts, it offers a clean, uncompromising look at what extreme chinense heat can be when left unpolished.
